Position Summary

As a Customer Data Integration Engineer, you will be working with our customers during the onboarding process to design, implement and maintain data pipelines that handle a vast array of different data sets. You will work with Solution Engineering and R&D teams to learn how the data serves our goals, come up with ways to improve our data processes, and help our clients make the best data-driven decisions to improve roadway safety. You will work with a wide array of languages and technologies such as Python, Kafka, Kinesis, Kubernetes and more. We’re looking for someone who enjoys teamwork but knows how to work independently as well.

Role and Responsibilities

• Design and implement data processing pipelines utilizing the data infrastructure provided by the R&D team
• Integrate with different data suppliers such as connected vehicles, departments of transportation and more
• Ensure developed integrations are tested thoroughly for successful deployment to production
• Manage account creation process by loading various account details into the appropriate database
• Assist customer support with tier 2 tickets that require more technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Assist customer support, customer success and project management as needed to ensure successful client onboarding
• Estimated travel up to 25%

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Foundational understanding of Python
• Desire to work with data and passionate about manipulating it in order to get the most value out of data sets
• Committed to producing high quality solutions
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to listen actively, define and document solution design details
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 2+ years of experience in software development or scripting
• Experience working with UNIX/Linux, Kotlin, Kafka, Kinesis, and Kubernetes
• Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) experience is a plus
• Experience with streaming video is a plus
