Main Purpose of Job
To supervise work pertaining to financial modelling and budgeting. Also, responsible for examining financial proposals, deriving insights and providing recommendations on relevant financial mandates to the senior management of THIQAH and its subsidiaries.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Implement and adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Provide the necessary support, facilitation, requirements, decisions, approvals, and guidance for the team in timely basis in order to get the work done.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of relevant policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
- Manage & maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal functions & external entities displaying the highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical and urgent issues in-order to ensure the services required by the organization are delivered in the most effective manner.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities which support continuous improvement, increase productivity, efficiency and cost reduction.
- Prepare timely and accurate statements and reports as required to meet operational needs, business requirements, policies and standards.
- Foster a spirt of cooperation and willingness to go the ‘extra distance’ by helping others achieve THIQAH’s objectives even when it is not your direct responsibly.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Supervise work activities within the assigned specialization (such as financial analysis, financial modelling, valuation and etc.) to ensure efficient execution and achievement of financial targets.
- Contribute in enabling full cost allocation and profitability analysis on service and products to ensure THIQAH and subsidiaries profitability are improved.
- Contribute in identifying issues and areas of potential revenue leakage and recommend changes to operational business processes and systems to minimize the risk and potential exposure to revenue leakage.
- Analyze portfolio of investments to gauge returns against historical figures and support in making relevant suggestions for optimization.
- Review and supervise reports on profitability, services, products, cost and investments.
- Ensure preparation of assigned budgets and financial models and analyses, ensuring adherence through effective monitoring and escalating discrepancies and identifying remedial actions.
- Support in making recommendations to top management regarding program and/or budget changes that have a large financial impact.
- Supervise process of forecasting, budgeting and preparing projects financial activity for multiple projects.
- Implement cost optimization efforts during budget review – follow adherence to cost optimization efforts.
- Prepare budgeted financial statements (i.e. Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow).
- Ensure adherence of deliverables to necessary standards from a procedural, legislative and compliance perspective.
- Manage projects and initiatives, as may be required by the reporting senior.
- Supervise work teams, if needed, to ensure work continuity.
- Develop and supervise respective team members, if needed, for undertaking higher responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Professional certification such as CFA or equivalent is preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in the budgeting, financial planning & analysis at technology industry.
