HR Officer

in Kyiv

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are very good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Kyiv, Ukraine.

Alliance15 members Welthungerhilfe (WHH), Concern Worldwide, and Cesvi are working together in Ukraine using their combined resources and reach, to ensure a quick and effective emergency response to assist the crisis-affected population. This response, known as JERU (Joint Emergency Response Ukraine), is working inside of Ukraine to support conflict-affected communities.

As HR Officer for Ukraine, your aim will be to ensure that JERUs projects or programmes are supported according to the HR regulations and policies of Welthungerhilfe and/or JERU.

Tasks:

• Support the HR Manager with the recruitment, onboarding, and termination procedures.
• In liaison with HR Manager ensure the efficient leave management, ensure that all types of leave are accurately and timely submitted, recorded, and processed.
• Ensure that the HR requests are addressed in timely manner within the scope of own responsibilities or as delegated’.
• File personal files according to WHH and national legislation requirements.
• Assisting with the payroll of national staff in liaison with Finance team to ensure all local staff receive the correct monthly payments and benefits on time.
• With the support of the HR Manager, Head of Operations, and the Head of Finance, roll out the new payroll software.
• Support the HR Manager with drafting correspondence for the addressing the various requests of the government.
• Support the HR Manager in maintaining communication with local authorities, labor, and immigration offices.
• Visit and support the staff in the field offices on HR related issues if needed.
• Participate in HR working groups, workshops, training, etc.
• Substitute the HR Manager in case of absence.
• Other appropriate tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the HR Manager and/or Head of Operations.

Specific Qualifications:

• Relevant professional qualification/formal vocational training with additional qualifications (e.g technician, vocational college)
• 3-5 years of job-related professional experience
• Strong MS Teams skills
• Willingness to travel within Ukraine
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian language
• Russian and or German language skills are an asset
