2022 will be a huge year for our Digital Transformation and we’re recruiting a Product Owner to work within our Digital team.

Joining our team means you’ll play a crucial role in advancing our digital capabilities and building a brand-new customer experience.

You will lead the creation and development of key products for VetPartners in a truly agile environment. You’ll put yourself into the shoes of multiple customer segments to provide vision and solutions that meet their needs and requirements.

As a Digital Product Owner your areas of focus will include:

  • Taking ownership and accountability for multiple product projects
  • Working closely with third party contractors to deliver in scope, on time and in budget solutions
  • Communicating with development teams to share product vision and priorities
  • Developing an agreed set of priorities and backlog in line with VetPartners priorities
  • Implementing and monitoring delivery timelines across departments
  • Assessing VetPartners competitor’s offerings and pinpointing opportunities for differentiation
  • Regularly communicating progress on projects and deliverables to the VetPartners leadership team
  • Undertake further research to refine specific target audience’s needs through engagement with customers, and user groups
  • Work closely with software development as part of an agile team, assisting in the creation of detailed feature requirements that can then be refined and estimated ensuring a high-quality technical solution is delivered
  • Working closely with the Programme Director, Project Mangers, Marketing, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of technology.

About You:

  • Proven experience overseeing all stages of the product development lifecycle
  • Capable of leading and motivating others whilst working cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Pro-active, a problem solver who is focused on business solutions
  • Customer focused and commercially aware, able to manage ambiguity and achieve results
  • The ability to research, analyse, problem-solve and reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes
  • A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field
  • An understanding of design quality standards
  • Additional qualifications, such as SAFE Product Owner certification or PSPO certification, are an advantage.

Location: Flexible/hybrid working options, with regular travel to our York Central Support Office.
