Interns receive hands-on experience during an 8-week program, during the summer. During the internship, individuals work on projects that impact our business, meet with TCB leaders, and gain an understanding of the products and services we provide. At the conclusion of the internship, successful candidates are eligible to interview for a full-time position in our STARs Program.

Commercial Banking lines of business (LOBs) offer opportunities from a variety of industries, a full suite of banking solutions with local, personal service, and the industry knowledge and experience clients count on to grow. This path is ideal for finance and accounting majors with an interest in sales, relationship management, credit, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Learn banking fundamentals including financial statement analysis, credit analysis, and commercial banking basics.
• Maintain files related to active and prospective transactions and ensure compliance with internal transaction procedures.
• On a daily basis, receive and successfully complete training assignments and group exercises, including case studies, verbal presentations, written reports, online assessments, quizzes and milestone tests.
• Exhibit professionalism by attending all meetings and submitting all reports in a timely manner.
• Dedicated to continuous learning and remaining coachable through each learning experience.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BBA, BA, BS or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Commercial Banking or a related field from an accredited college or university, with expected graduation in May of 2024.
• Completion of at least 6 hours of accounting.
• Completion of at least 6 hours of finance.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 required. A transcript will be required to confirm.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce reports, memos, and presentations.
• Interest in a long-term career in Banking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills and community involvement.
• Ability to be an effective team player and build positive working relationships across the organization.
