Role And Responsibilities
- Work closely with subject matter expert to create and implement Design Verification Methods, test cases and validation criteria to test coverage of component requirements of EV powertrain system
- Drive design and calibration change focused on attributes such as efficiency, drivability, thermal, NVH, performance, and durability.
- Support analysis and troubleshooting of vehicle harnesses throughout development processes
- Develop toolchains and methods to automate testing and perform data analysis to improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot systems using vehicle interface tools (Vector, Kvaser, PEAK-System) and lab equipment such as oscilloscope, power supplies and multimeter
- Perform debugging and failure analysis of complex hardware and software interactions
- Participate in environmental and track testing activities.
- Participates in data collection and analysis.
- Design and build test benches to validate high voltage and low voltage system if necessary
- Communicate with software, mechanical and electrical engineers to proactively identify problems and gaps in test.
- Document results and track issues in concise reports as appropriate, present results to management personnel
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- BS or higher in Engineering
- Knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical system, safety, EMI, EMC
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills
- Experience troubleshooting and validating electronic hardware system using lab equipment such as oscilloscope, power supplies and multimeter
Preferred Experience And Skills
- Knowledge of automotive communication networks (such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Flexray)
- Experience with vehicle interface software (CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, PCAN etc..)
- Good understanding of electric vehicle systems (powertrain, battery, thermal and electronics)
- Good understanding of automotive harness and management
- Experience with vehicle control development (MATLAB/Simulink)
