CircularTree is an impact startup enabling companies to reduce the carbon footprint in their supply chains to achieve net zero. We cooperate with large organizations like the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Catena-X and ESTAINIUM to build ecosystems for the exchange of primary product carbon footprints.

Tasks

  • Take on technical responsibility for our software CarbonBlock and evolve, document, and promote the software architecture design and technology stack
  • Directly manage a team of highly skilled external software developers
  • Work tightly with the product lead and leadership team to set the vision for the product area and build and communicate the strategy
  • Contribute hands-on to software development and operation activities (e.g. Proof-Of-Concept implementation, system configuration contribution/review).
  • Deliver high quality software and ensure stability, performance, security, and platform reusability aspects are always considered
  • Plan and design integrations (REST API) with third party solutions
  • Coordinate our ecosystem involvements within the WBCSD, Catena-X and Estainium association

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, including at least 1 year of it with full responsibility for code architecture
  • Experience in full stack development (TypeScript, Angular, Node.js), AWS serverless architectures and infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience to lead an R&D team
  • Open minded and fast in learning new technologies
  • Interest in sustainability and high motivation to create impact together with our small start-up team
  • Communicate confidently in English and German
