We are seeking a IT Infrastructure Specialist

How you will make a difference @ FARO

• Independent of supervision you will be:
• Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal systems software and hardware.
• Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in a diverse environment.
• Monitor backups and plans for installed systems
• Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment.
• Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
• Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
• May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
• May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications.
• May be client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions.
• May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.

• Ensure all requests and incidents are handled within set corporate SLA policies

• With limited direction candidate will:
• Sets day-to-day objectives and delivers job responsibilities that may vary outside typical norms or practices. Work consists of tasks that are occasionally not routine and often works independently and is required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures.
• Problem Solving:
• Problems and issues faced are unclear and may need some analysis to understand. Makes minor adjustments to work tasks to solve problems that may not be obvious in existing work processes and systems. However, may have references and/or standard procedures to solve these problems.
