Aim of the position:

The program coordinator supports the Country Representative (CR) in ensuring the quality and coordination of the implementation of AVSI projects in Syria. Furthermore, the Program Coordinator elaborates new project proposals and contributes together with the Country Representative and the Regional Manager in defining the strategy of AVSI Syria.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Coordinate the AVSI program area in Syria (national level)

• Coordinate the implementation of AVSI projects in Syria, in terms of content, methods and

compliance with deadlines

• Perform the function of PM Feedback provider for all programmatic aspects

• In coordination with the Country Representative, develop institutional relationships, new business

opportunities and contribute to the formulation of new proposals

• Ensure the visibility and representation of AVSI in external meetings with donors and

stakeholders as requested by the CR

• Support the RC in defining country priorities and strategies

• Support the RC in the management of human resources of AVSI Syria

Essential requirements:

• Education: degree in International Relations, Economics or similar

• Solid knowledge in the field of design, at least 3-4 years of experience

Knowledge of foreign languages:

• Fluency in English

Required skills and experiences

• Computer skills: Excellent knowledge of the main Office IT tools, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
