WCK seeks a talented and committed Financial Operations Field Specialist to directly support our relief efforts in the field during emergency relief activations. Part of a high performing and highly motivated finance team, the successful candidate must possess a high level of reliability, precision, and attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic environment, and provide a broad range of critical support, including while in the field.

This role will report primarily to the Director, Finance as well as to the Relief Activation Manager while in the field. This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, the ability to travel immediately to relief activities world-wide, and flexibility for time zone differences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Deploy as needed to a Disaster/Emergency Area as the Finance representative
• Support WCK Relief teams with their finance-related needs while deployed
• Accountability for petty cash, billing, and fee schedule management while deployed
• Support and coordinate field finance tasks, activities, and programs remotely
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for operational efficiency and financial controls
• Perform other tasks to support the Finance team and WCK as needed

Requirements include:

• The ability to travel immediately and directly support emergency relief activities in person
• Organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities and work change quickly
• Significant related or similar financial operations and/or project management experience
• Experience utilizing accounting principles, bookkeeping functions, and financial procedures
• Able to professionally interact with employees, vendors, volunteers, and other stakeholders
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred candidates will also be multi-lingual, including Spanish; and have experience and/or training in food service, first response, and deployments.
