Are you the right person to lead a team who are passionate about improving mental health and wellbeing for the people of Lancashire?

Lancashire Mind is a local, independent mental health charity working with and for the people of Lancashire. Our purpose is rooted in the belief that everyone can achieve and maintain positive mental health and wellbeing.

We aim to Connect Minds, Change Minds and Support Minds through ongoing engagement and co-creation of services; by challenging stigma and increasing knowledge around mental health; and by being a source of help, where and when people need it.

We are seeking a new Chief Executive with strong strategic and leadership skills to continue to grow and develop the charity, leading and inspiring our passionate and dedicated team as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy.

The CEO will work with staff, people who use services, commissioners, partners and trustees to deliver the vision and strategy of the charity. We are looking for someone with ambition and credibility who will use the vehicle of Lancashire Mind to make a real difference and lasting impact by improving mental health for Lancashire.

You will provide clarity, collaboration and long-term direction to the charity, develop highly effective partnerships and ensure the organisation is well-run and continues to deliver high quality services. The right candidate will have a strong focus on business development, thinking creatively and courageously about opportunities for growth and new income streams. You will be a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing, ensuring the charity is a place where people feel valued, listened to and supported.

We are offering the opportunity to shape the future of a well-established Lancashire charity and the chance to work with a team who will support and inspire you.

Employee benefits include opportunities for flexible working, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), additional leave between Christmas and New Year, a workplace pension scheme, sick pay scheme, paid emergency time off, an Employee Assistance Programme, regular supervision and a variety of learning and development opportunities.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on 10th November 2022.

Late applications will not be accepted. Those who do not adequately demonstrate how they fulfil the criteria in the person specification, will not be considered for shortlisting.

Interviews for this post will be in two stages.

Stage One Interviews: 15th and 18th November 2022 at our offices in Chorley, Lancashire.

Stage Two assessment centre: this will be a full day event on Monday 28th November 2022 at the Digital Hub, Strawberry Fields, Chorley, PR7 1PS.

Please note: Lancashire Mind follows Safer Recruitment practices and have a commitment to safeguarding people who use our services. Therefore, this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If invited to interview, we will ask you to provide evidence of your qualifications and right to work.
