Abstract:
The Head of Grants and Resource Mobilization will be responsible for the overall management and development of grant programs and resource mobilization strategy and activities, and ensuring sustainable funding for the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Map the institutional funding context within which the organization operates, including potential donors, grant-giving organizations and sponsors, available funding, and ongoing funding reforms.
- Identify opportunities for engaging with sponsors, donors, and grant-giving international and national organizations.
- Reach out to potential donors and sponsors, network with them and build proactive relationships.
- Communicate Al Sharq Forum (ASF) mandate, objectives, strategic plans, policies, programs and resources requirements with those organizations.
- Monitor new calls for grant proposals, review the published ones, identify ASF eligibility and coordinate the submission process ensuring applying best practices to submit winning proposals.
- Manage the development and preparation of expressions of interest, concept notes, projects proposals and other related documents.
- Present the organization’s projects and resource mobilization proposals to targeted organizations.
- Serve as the liaison focal point with external organizations on resource mobilization matters.
- Work closely with the ASF’s pillars to identify funding gaps and prioritize institutional funding needs.
- Develop and prepare resource mobilization related reports.
- Develop and update the resource mobilization policy.
- Follow-up on the execution of the funding plans in coordination with all related stakeholders to secure funding sustainability.
- Maintain, update and refresh insights on priority relationships and key donor stakeholders to ensure sustainability.
- Maintain and develop the organization’s resource mobilization database and archive.
- Assist in building the team’s proposal development and report writing capacities
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Having a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- Good skills in partnerships and develop relationships with partners and donors.
- Good experience in writing and developing grants.
- Good skills in team leading.
- Fluency in English and Turkish is required, Arabic is optional
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously under minimum supervision.
