Grade 8 (£42,149 – £50,296 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

We are seeking an experienced manager with strong team management and interpersonal skills to work on high profile learning design projects. This is a senior role and will involve supporting the Head of Blended Learning Support with all aspects of the operational and line management of a busy and dynamic team. All activity will be in line with the vision and ethos of the University and the University’s Student Education and Digital Transformation strategies.

You will have proven experience of working within an educational environment, managing the design of quality programmes of learning based on sound pedagogical principles. You will have experience of taking responsibility for learning development teams tasked with the professional and timely delivery of multiple, concurrent projects. You will lead a team of learning designers to provide digital education solutions tailored to user needs utilising a range of platforms and tools. As part of the Digital Education Service Senior Leadership team, you will contribute to the development and execution of the Service’s overall mission, vision, and strategy, providing expert leadership to strategic workstreams.

Reporting to the Head of Blended Learning Support, you will play a lead role in developing relationships with University stakeholders including Faculty Pro-Deans for Student Education. You will work in partnership with Faculty Digital Education Managers to provide a joined-up service aligned to university strategies and priorities including Curriculum Redefined.
