As the Senior Lead for the newly formed learning and development centralized team, which sits within the Purpose function, you will play a critical role in building out the new federated learning and development model in S&P Global, which will scale learning across the company, and partner with the in-division learning teams..
With direction and oversight from the Chief People Officer, and the wider Purpose team, this role will be key for building out enterprise wide learning and development, including the People Leader/Create program for 7,000 people leaders. The role will sit in close partnership with the in-division learning and development teams, to focus on quality and execution of training, and advancing our end state learning technology. The role will be strategic to look at advancing the learning ecosystem to include talent marketplace and gigs.
The Impact
- Work on introducing the new centralized learning model so that it is clearly defined and the brand is well understood by all employees and interplays well with the in-division learning functions.
- Setting the strategy and direction for the enterprise wide Learning and development agenda to embed the capabilities and federated operating model
- Senior Level engagement to support the company’s Create program and development of the 7,000 people leaders across the business.
- Responsible for implementing new and improved LXP for enhanced end state learning technology
- Partner with Agile team to execute on key learning projects such as Data and Analytics requirements, Create and Technology
- Always look to achieve the best in class learning and development experience and ensure learning is a key lever in the overall EVP at S&P Global
- Work with the DEI teams and other communities like ESG to use L&D as a platform to enhance their agenda and execution.

- Build out L&D’s presence on Sphere (internal portal) to have easy access to all learning at the company
- Lead the Centralised learning team to deliver high performing outcomes and execution
- Understand S&P Global businesses’ strategy, people priorities and challenges at both the macro and micro levels, and make meaningful connections to processes and people: ‘join the dots’
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $228,000 Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience working with learning and organizational development in a large (global) firm and/or functional business unit
- Comfortable in navigating change in a highly matrixed environment
- Conversant with the latest trends and thought leadership in the field of L&D
- Possess a strong business acumen to create and implement relevant learning solutions
- Strong consultative skills and ability to align with multiple senior stakeholders (including at the CXO / Division Lead level)
- Strong execution focus and effective program / project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in organizational development/organizational behavior or related field
- Diverse industry and functional experience
- Previous experience in operations or client facing functions preferred.
