As a Machine Learning Engineer at Sony AVS you will develop both novel computer vision solutions leveraging the cutting-edge Sony vision sensor technology as well as other software with a focus on Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Sensing in general.

You will:

Become part of the world-leading image sensor company and shape how future software and AI algorithms perceive the world
Develop cutting-edge, novel Computer Vision algorithms, sensors and systems
Develop and deploy software frameworks, tools and products
Take ownership and follow your innovations from idea to product prototype
Be part of a dynamic R&D team focused on solving challenging problems that enable new and exciting applications
Collaborate closely with our computer vision, AI and hardware experts for best system performance
Work in a multi-cultural environment that spans engineering sites from Japan, Europe, and North America across the Sony Group organization

You should have:

Curiosity and desire to challenge why things are done the way they are
The courage to put your ideas to the test without being afraid of failure
MSc in Computer Science or similar field; industry practice in software engineering is beneficial
Experience with Computer Vision, Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning algorithms
Excellent communication skills, fluency in English
Ability to optimize priorities based on company-wide objectives

You can set yourself apart if you have:

Experience with modern software development methodologies and principles
Experience with various sensing modalities such as conventional CMOS cameras, event-based cameras, LIDAR, ToF, IMU, structured light etc.
