Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour starting rate
Shift Differential: $1.50 third shift
Shift time: 1st Shift: 7:00am– 3:30pm (hours may vary) and 3rd Shift: 11:30pm – 8:00am (hours may vary)
Elastimold® products made in Hackettstown are an integral connective piece to a resilient and smart grid. Found on power poles and underground power lines, our products are primarily used by electric utility companies to deliver power to homes and businesses. Our advanced equipment is smart grid ready and being used by utilities across the country to form the connective tissue of the future electric grid.
Your responsibilities
Performing inspections in the following areas: Final Assembly, In-process, Machine Shop, Molding, Returned Materials, Receiving, Plastic Molding, and Shipping
Use Internet/CAD System and/or blueprints to determine specifications
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier’s, micrometers thread gauges, go-no/go gauges, hardness tester and comparators to measure critical characteristics
Inspect molded parts, milling, and drilling, stamping, grinding, and welding operations to blueprint requirements
Inspect parts using necessary gauges, including x-ray equipment
Performs Quality audits/inspection in molding department, as required
Support continuous improvement activities.
Conduct Assembly audits – including picking, packing, and shipping
Your background
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Quality Control or Manufacturing environment
Must be able to facilitate and communicate well with production, supervisors, and co-workers
Good leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
