We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse, with a keen interest in education and the clinical development of staff. You will be required to support the delivery of education for Systemic Anti-cancer Treatment (SACT) with a focus on supporting staff who are new to the Day Unit or the cancer nursing speciality.
To support, implement and evaluate programmes of education and training at an appropriate level and to promote and maintain standards of care in accordance with Trust standard operating procedures and policies.
Supporting the development of evidenced-based practice within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, disseminating best practice and incorporating identified educational needs.
To facilitate staff retention by ensuring clinical support, progressive job satisfaction and opportunities for staff personal development.
To support the ward sister with the development and communication of the overall educational purpose and direction of BHOC DAY Unit, providing a shared vision for all staff in working towards the BHOC education strategy.
Educate the team to promote improvement and effective management of change by undertaking and acting upon research and audits, to implement agreed new approaches to raise the quality of care.
Communicate effectively with inter-professional colleagues at all levels.
Develop strategies for new ways of learning
