Directly responsible for: PECT – Operations Director, Finance roles, GES – Operations Director

Responsibility as: GES Board Director

Location – Peterborough, with opportunities for hybrid working

Build external relationships, being an ambassador for PECT and enhancing our reputation.

To achieve the delivery of the strategic and operational plan to take PECT forward, building on our success and growing our work locally, regionally and nationally.

The role

Reporting to the Chair of the Board you will lead, inspire and build external relationships, being an ambassador for PECT and enhancing our reputation. You will deliver the strategic and operational plan to take PECT forward, building on our success and growing our work locally, regionally and nationally. You will be confident in business development, managing complex budgets, leading projects, building upon existing and developing new alliances and partnerships.

With a turnover of just over £1 million, with over 25 current projects which is expanding you will grow the organisation and its work in line with the strategic plan. This role will be the lead ambassador for PECT ensuring we are considered as a key player in the environmental sector.

You will also have responsibility as Director of PECT subsidiaries as required, including the responsibility for reporting regular updates to the Board.

You are passionate about all things environmental and share this enthusiasm with those around you
You need to have a charitable sector ethos to grasp the funding opportunities and also have commercial acumen to support our subsidiaries and growth plans
You will have worked in a senior role and have experience of delivering strategy at Board level
You need to be an inspirational leader who has the drive to develop and coach people to the next level of their career journey
Strong ethics and value-based leadership will be part of your DNA
