Volunteer – Summer Helper for Meals on Wheels

A volunteer is required to help out with Meals on Wheels in the Clones area over the summer months. This person will be required to accompany the driver and help deliver the meals to the older people who use the Meals on Wheels service. The volunteer does not need access to a car and will not be asked to drive.

About Us

Clones Development Society oversee the Ulster Canal Stores, which is a recently renovated heritage building. Home to Clones Lace, a new museum will be installed in 2018, and a full time restaurant is on site, offering breakfast, snacks and dinners, and caters for parties. We offer Tourist and Heritage information, and run guided walking tours during the summer months.

What’s Required

This volunteer should be friendly, able to work well in a team, have good communications skills, having a short chat with the people who use the Meals on Wheels service is often an important part of the service.
