Task
The Information Desk attendant will serve as a resource for members of the public and those interested in Ballina 2023 in the Ballina Tourist Information Office, Pearse Street, Ballina, Co. Mayo. They will be responsible for answering questions and knowing locations of events, etc in relation to Ballina 2023.
Specific Tasks And Responsibilities
- Serve as the building host; welcoming persons approaching or passing by the information booth.
- Ensures customer service is conducted in a courteous and professional manner to members of the public and all other employees.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain database, binders and files during shift.
- Provide accurate information as requested by members of the public at the desk or over the phone.
- Review schedule of events in the programme for each day and know where events are located.
- Contact Building Managers concerning event requests, building maintenance, and emergency situations.
- Assist in the set-up of events at the office, if needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of department policies and procedures.
- Secure everything at Information desk at the end of each shift.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
During their shifts, the Information Desk attendant will be supervised by the Community Liaison Manager.
