Role: Supplier Operational Support (Supplier Performance)
Duration: 12 months
Location: This role will involve travel to supplier sites, will be primarily a field based role. Offices based in Banbury and Wolverhampton, will be travelling UK wide and may have the opportunity to travel overseas if the need arises.
Role Summary
The SOS focal will provide a broad range of supplier performance activities to all client business units including:
- Dedicated SPC for all E4 Supplier escalations raised by APS sites.
- LOB tracking, Component Expediting and reducing lead time on critical programs. Arrears recovery and execution of BTG plans with critical SOS suppliers.
- Implementation of Actuation SOS 6 bicycle steps across European region.
- To work with client stakeholders to resolve technical, Quality and engineering issues within supplier manufacturing processes.
- Use of Lean tools to improve efficiency of supplier processes. Linkage and flow, capacity planning, Elimination of Scrap & Rework.
- Daily Communication of critical actions & Milestones to client stakeholders.
- Any additional tasks requested by management team.
Basic Qualifications
Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
- Technical / Craft Apprentice qualified.
- MCIPS or related manufacturing qualifications.
- Experience of working with a Tier 1 Aerospace company essential.
- Demonstrable cross team working ability
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally
- Experience working in a Supply Chain environment
- Strong project management skills
Skills Required

- IT skills – Knowledge of Excel, Word and ERP systems (prior SAP use a distinct advantage).
