About The Role

We are looking for a Climate & Finance Intern (100%) to join our team for a 6-month paid internship as soon as possible.

Tasks

In this role you will:

  • contribute to ECOFACT’s research and analyses on climate change regulation and voluntary standards and their implications for the financial sector, by analyzing relevant papers and publications;
  • support a variety of advisory projects with leading financial institutions; and
  • help the team enhance our offerings pertaining to climate change strategy, climate target-setting, risk management, and disclosure.

Requirements

You are:

  • happy to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • comfortable managing multiple priorities;
  • highly motivated and reliable; and
  • comfortable in an agile environment where priorities may change.

You must have:

  • mother-tongue German (spoken and written) and strong English (C1 – spoken and written);
  • a full degree in one of the following fields: banking, sustainable finance, environmental economics, climate science or similar;
  • strong document drafting skills;
  • the ability to translate technical regulatory information into practical actions by explaining their implications to our clients;
  • high attention to detail; and
  • a valid Swiss work permit or EU citizenship.

You earn extra points if you have:

  • relevant work experience in the financial industry;
  • knowledge of climate risk management and climate target-setting, in particular related to the Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) or Science Based Targets guidance;
  • consulting or project management experience; and/or
  • a desire to take the initiative and claim ownership.
