BAFTA is seeking a new Event Logistics Assistant to join their busy Events team.
Job Purpose
BAFTA is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hard-working event logistics assistant to support the production of the BAFTA Award ceremonies.
The role is a fixed term full time contract for 9 months and will be working across BAFTA’s award ceremonies and varied event programme.
THE ROLE
The individual we are looking for needs to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be a clear and concise communicator and have an interest in event management with a keen eye for detail. They will need to be self-motivated and hardworking, proactive and able to learn quickly on the job and work to tight deadlines.
The role will require cross working across five award ceremonies and a whole programme of BAFTA events.
Ideally you will have
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organisational skills and time management
Experience of live event coordination
Keen eye for detail and a capable proof reader
Experience of working to tight deadlines
Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities
Willingness and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications such as sharepoint, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
Ideally you will
Be passionate about events and wanting to deliver the most prestigious awards in the UK.
Be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the events industry
Be quick to adapt to changing parameters
Be honest, open, willing to ask questions and ask for help when needed
Thrive when working as part of a team but also be confident at working remotely
Be driven to produce excellent work
Have an interest in sustainability and limiting the impact events have on the environment
Be a confident communicator who is approachable, helpful and can be assertive
The ability to work at speed during busy periods
