Sygnature Discovery

Bioscientists at Sygnature Discovery play an essential role in supporting and leading integrated client projects as well as delivering specialist biophysical and cell imaging assays. The HTS group at Sygnature is growing due to client demand, delivering HTS screening projects for clients ranging from pharma to small & medium biotech companies and academic institutes. We are looking for talented bioscientists across seniority levels to push forward and help expand our HTS capabilities even further.

As a Bioscientist you will join a dynamic department actively discovering new drugs for a broad range of projects, molecular targets, and therapeutic indications.

Key requirements:

– Previous knowledge of assay development for HTS, HTS automation and experience of analysing large complex data sets is essential.

– Experience of automated compound screening including cellular and biochemical assays.

– Ability to assess and implement novel technologies and methods relevant to automated early-stage drug discovery.

– A strong scientific track record with experience built within a drug discovery environment is desirable.

– Knowledge and demonstrated experience of a broad range of bioscience related disciplines (enzymology, biophysics, cell biology, pharmacology) and their application to drug discovery.

– Ability to develop novel assays from first principles and interpret complex biological datasets.

– A working knowledge of current trends in drug discovery.

– Ideally you will have a PhD or equivalent industrial experience in pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team combined with excellent attention to detail.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to present complex scientific ideas and datasets to key stakeholders.

– Project and line management experience is desirable for senior roles.
