Chief II Cardiac Physiologist Permanent

Applications are invited for an Permanent (35 hours) position of Chief II Cardiac

Physiologist in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. 

Role Summary

This position offers an opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to lead and manage our team of cardiac physiologists . There is scope for someone who is interested in developing the department further .

St. Vincent’s Private Hospital is one of Irelands biggest Private Hospitals . It has a very well experienced team Cardiologists and Cardiac Physiologists’ . At St. Vincent’s we provide invasive and non invasive cardiac services . This post holder will lead in the provision of delivery of first class services in terms of ECHO’s , Holters , ECG’s , EST , pace checks and includes daily Cath lab work .

Essential Criteria

The post holder must have : 

• Minimum five years post qualification as a Cardiac Physiologist.
• Experience in a hospital setting
• Substantial Senior experience and /or previous management experience in the supervision and management of staff and resources .
• Possess BSC in Clinical Measurement Science , Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) or hold an equivalent qualification.
• Substantive Cardiac Physiology experience in the independent performance and reporting of echocardiograms  and /OR act as an independent operator in the Cath Lab, covering all procedures’ including angiogram/ angioplasty
• Demonstrate high level of interpersonal and team skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management, consultant staff, staff, patients and visitors to the Hospital.
• Demonstrate adaptability to the rapid changes taking place in the health services .
