What will you do?
- Compliance and tax audit
Ensure compliance of all GKN legal entities with the applicable tax status through preparation of tax policies, training of relevant local teams and use of external tax advisors if needed. Responsible of the completion of the income tax returns including all related analysis and support. Responsible for audits of all income tax filings. Liaise wit IT staff on all technical matters related to direct and indirect taxes
- Reporting and Planning
Responsible for the accounting of income taxes in the UK and the international subsidiaries. Coordination of accounting for tax assets and liabilities as well as forecasting the tax cash movements over the 18 month rolling horizon.
- Support global restructuring projects
Participate and support “full potential” (restructuring) projects to ensure the compliance and maximized setup for the restructuring activities and their impact on company’s tax charge.
- Monitoring the execution of the intra-company agreements
Owner of the group tax policy and intera-company recharge agreements. Ensure agreements are in line with OECD transfer pricing guidelines. Plan and monitor for the annual recharging process, using the resource of the shared service center. Perform checks on the calculations before issuing the debit notes.
- Tax strategy
Define a 5 year plan in coordination with the Legal and Treasury functions in order to minimize ETR (Effective Tax Ratio) of GKN Automotive.
What are we looking for?
- BS in accounting, Master’s degree in Business Taxation
- 10 years of related experience with at least 5 years in a public accounting firm
- Strong experience in transfer pricing
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Leader with good communication skills able to influence and pass a message across different stakeholder
- Hands on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.
- Self driven attitude and positive thinker
- Outside of the box thinker
- Ability to formulate plan and prioritise
- Direct & maintain long and short terms goals
