About The Team
The Payment team plays an essential role in creating a best-in-class buyer payment experience for Shopee users. With our data-driven approach and close partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, we spearhead a wide-ranging set of payment initiatives—growth of payment channels, reduction of payment failures, and building of robust and scalable defenses to mitigate payment fraud.
Job Description
- Performing outbound payments and refunds to both buyer and sellers
- Setting up payments channels, performing changes of connected accounts and other payment operation for both buyer and seller accounts
- Manage inquiries emails from our customer service teams on a daily basis, whenever emails regarding payments are handed over to our queue.
- Performs Reconciliation for all payment channel on a daily basis
- Performs cross check of transaction status report and share the findings with Payment Operation team to perform refunds or enhancements.
- Make sure Shopee’s payment account has sufficient funds by checking through payment channel dashboard against daily bank balance
- Managing Chargeback dispute from cards when Shopee needs to provide proofs to banks and card schemes (VISA and MASTERCARDS) information to prevent financial loss.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher related to Finance/Management/Data Analysis
- At least 2 to 4 years work experience focused on Payment/Financial Operations preferably in ecommerce, telecommunication, digital financial service or retail business
- Problem-solving oriented, positive and constructive attitude
- Possess self-management skills: able to efficiently organizes own time, assess priorities within own area of work, and work under tight deadlines with a high level of commitment
- Good team player, positive attitude and eager to learn
- Experience in ecommerce payments systems will be an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills
