We are creating a brand new organization “Operations Performance & Continuous Improvement” (PCI) and therefore are searching for a

Operations Performance & Continuous Improvement (PCI) Leader (f/m/d)

at Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth.

The Mission Of This New Organization

  • Accelerate/strengthen continuous improvement and problem solving within operations
  • Boost maturity and results of performance and improvement mgt in ops teams

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

As direct report to the HO Operations Performance & Continuous Improvement (PCI), your role will be to:

  • Share the PCI ambition, define priorities and strategic roadmap with operations top management of your perimeter
  • Ensure yearly PCI objectives cascading to operational teams
  • Deploy VSA (Value Stream Analysis) and Kaizen Productivity initiatives to continuously analyze and improve the efficiency of our industrial flows
  • Coach and spread Gemba On-Job-Training by managers on our industrial basics, while recognizing ops teams on progress achieved
  • Develop managers & teams, local PCI leaders and improvers (including training plans definition and execution) on :
  • Continuous maturity increase & sustainability of our “industrial mgt basics” (e.g. : KPI Tree & BSC, 5S, QRQC, PPC, MCR, Gemba, MPS, SLB, Poly Poly, Standard Agenda, …), in cooperation with AOS (Airbus Operating System)
  • Continuous improvement plans definition and efficient management to permanently increase SQCDP performance
  • Performance diagnosis & improvement initiatives facilitation (e.g. : Value Stream Analysis, OEE, Kaizen workforce efficiency analysis…)
  • Ensure savings are planned and confirmed in our financial plan (OP)
  • Structure, motivate, develop and sustain our local PCI Network
  • Organize/perform best practices sharing and return on experience

Required Skills And Competencies

  • Fully autonomous Lean Manufacturing Expert, with production management and supply chain background of more than 5 years in large international companies
  • Ability to perform lean diagnosis and organize lean transformation of a complete factory using lean principles & tools
  • Ability to build and drive improvement teams, and ensure the execution of defined roadmaps, anticipate risks and manage them with operational management
  • Knowledge of the financial system
  • Ability to develop teams on lean principles & tools
  • Proactivity and action orientation, courage & tenacity
  • Energy, positive attitude, ability to inspire, embark & motivate teams, interpersonal and workshop/training facilitation skills, influencing skills, tactical intelligence
  • Experience in change management
  • Open mindedness & transparency
  • Ability to adapt to situations and environment without losing the goal
  • Structured (e.g. plan and execute roadmaps), rigorous, synthetic, presentation skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback / coaching to executive management levels
  • Fluent English and German, French a plus
