Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a team of data analytics experts developing pricing models and algorithms applied to effectively manage drug cost for clients and deliver value for the enterprise
- Develop robust, scalable analytics in response to needs of internal stakeholders, clients and the external market, and business partners (pharmacies)
- Be able to develop complete network pricing strategies capable of covering the vast majority of use-cases likely to arise in the business, sometimes from incomplete specifications
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in IT and the business
- Implement governance processes for backlog intake on analytics requests and effectively manage resource allocation within the team to meet business goals
- Partner with key stakeholders from Network Pricing Products, Pharmacy & Client Contract Management, Operations and Strategy on solution design and task prioritisation
- Influence leadership decisions that impact business direction on pricing initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading analytics teams covering visual analytics, descriptive/diagnostic analytics, and more advanced data science
- Experience managing peoples workload and throughput
- Ability to collaborate with a decentralized cross-functional team, ability to lead and influence without authority to advance complex programs and deliver outcomes
- Experience with financial forecasting and operational and financial acumen, discipline and rigor
- Very comfortable with change and ambiguity given the ever-evolving nature of the business
- Strong communication skills, able to work with stakeholders from multiple levels and disciplines
- Demonstrable experience leading analytics projects, with accountability of work to senior management level stakeholders
- Undergraduate degree in a numerical subject (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in a technical discipline
- Experience with advanced analytical modelling, time-series forecasting, rationales
- Experience working with large volumes of transactional data
- Experience working in industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Banking or Telco
