Responsibilities
Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working as part of a Marketing team of around 14 people, some of your responsibilities will include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list)
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Marketing Officer to play a key role in the marketing of all aspects of the RSC’s work to achieve the company business plan and our Audience Plan.
Developing and implementing marketing strategies to maximise the promotion of RSC productions, tours, events and non-performance related activity.
Monitoring the achievement of sales targets and implementing strategies and plans
Using the RSC and external segmentation models to target audiences effectively
Creating marketing materials, including emails, print, website and advertising and developing content for activity, including commissioning images and videos
Evaluating and reporting on the success of marketing campaigns
Working across a wide range of departments within and beyond Audiences and Marketing to inform, develop and communicate plans.
Using the RSC’s CRM system, Tessitura, to plan and monitor effective campaigns based on intelligent use of customer data and insight
Administering and monitoring marketing budgets.
This is fast paced role which will need you to be organised, able to multi-task and work as part of a busy team or alone using your initiative. You will be planning marketing campaigns to hit targets, developing the RSC brand and achieving audience development goals. This opportunity will allow you the responsibility to manage lengthy marketing campaign from start to finish, including budgetary responsibility, meeting campaign targets and working closely and collaboratively with creative teams to design outstanding campaigns.
To Be Suitable For This Position You Should Have
At least two years’ experience of working in marketing in a busy, changing environment.
Excellent copywriting, presentational and communication skills with the ability to make a story simple, clear and compelling.
Experience with a range of marketing tools, both offline and online, including creating and delivering campaigns from start to finish.
Proven relationship management skills.
An excellent eye for detail.
Experience in managing budgets.
Experience in the arts, theatre and/or live performance.
This role provides the right person a brilliant opportunity to develop in an exciting and varied marketing role. You will be able to use your creativity to deliver the RSC’s Audience plan, positively promoting our work and reputation.
This position is offered as a full-time, permanent role, mainly based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (10-6pm or 9-5pm), although some degree of flexibility will be required according to workload and there will be occasional evening and weekend working. The post offers hybrid and flexible working. You would need to be in the office around 3 days per week and remote for the rest of the time, although there will be times when you will be needed on location or in our London office. We also welcome applications for part-time working and job shares.
