We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred. As an independent charity, we depend on public support and commercial income to care for six remarkable historic sites.These palaces in our care are much in demand as filming locations for news, documentary, and large-scale film crews. We are looking for a Filming Manager to lead on filming within our organisation. You will build strong relationships with production companies and location managers on our behalf and be proactive in helping us secure filming projects. In this role, you will need to manage casual staff, volunteers and members of the Media and PR team to ensure that filming projects run smoothly on the ground. You will also lead on large scale projects yourself, managing logistics and working closely with conservation and operations teams at the palaces.In all of your work, you will seek to help HRP achieve its charitable aims – maintaining our reputation as an authoritative voice on the history of the sites in our care and bringing their stories to as wide an audience as possible, in a variety of ways. You’ll also seek to drive income through filming that supports our work conserving and caring for the palaces.Bringing impeccable organisational skills, enthusiasm and creativity to the Media and PR team, you’ll be involved in all stages of the process, from brainstorming new programme ideas to managing enquiries, to supervising crews on site. You will need excellent judgement to determine which approaches will be taken forward, and the ability to brief colleagues on HRP messaging.About youWe are looking for an excellent Project Manager with an eye for detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities. Experience running large scale events, or direct experience of running film shoots is desirable, as is a strong working knowledge of the way broadcast media and production companies operate. Self-motivated, you will be a team player who can juggle a busy workload and communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues at all levels, as well as production and broadcast partners.As much of our filming takes place outside of visitor hours, you must be willing to work outside normal office hours on a regular basis.Closing date: Monday 22 August 2022You may also have experience in the following: Filming Officer, Camera Operator, Photography, Videography, Multimedia Content Officer, Content Manager, Content Management, Content Creator, Content Editor, New Media, Social Media, Digital Content, Digital Marketing, etc.Ref 135 504
