The Bern site, with its approx. 600 people of over 25 nationalities, acts as a center of expertise for development and manufacturing of innovative cell based viral- and bacterial vaccines and bacterial based therapeutic products.

Main Responsibilities
Monitoring material availability in SAP and place Purchase Orders to replenish stocks.
Follow-up all open Purchase Orders and ensure Delivery Dates are confirmed and up to date in the SAP system.
Ensure department compliance with SOX requirements.
Ensure compliance with Procurement Code of Conduct. Ensures compliance with purchasing policies and procedures and promotes good purchasing behavior.
Ensure timely Goods Receipts and closure of Purchase Orders, avoiding and clearing eventual invoice mismatches.
Ensure procurement data such as lead times, prices and Purchasing Info Records are up to date
Interact with Quality regarding Supplier Change Notifications
Troubleshoots discrepancies regarding purchase orders, deliveries, prices and quality and escalate supply issues when necessary.
Ensures strong relationships within the Planning team and with business customers such as Warehouse, Quality, Production, and R&D.

Who We Are Looking For
Commercial education or University degree
Relevant experience in supply chain (procurement, planning) and SAP preferred
Experience in a pharmaceutical environment or related industry is a plus
Good communication and negotiation skills in English and preferably in German too
Customer focused. Results and performance driven
Demonstrates problem solving and analytical Capabilities
Proven business acumen in the areas of Supply Chain, Commercial and Financials
