In this role you will report to our Head of Legal Turkey and be responsible to support our Turkey organization from a legal perspective
Your assignments
Location: Istanbul
- Serve as the part of the Turkey legal team, and in general, the Middle East/Africa/and Turkey FMC cluster (META) Legal team on the full range of legal matters;
- Collaborate closely with our local Turkey operations and businesses;
- Prepare, review, and negotiate all relevant contracts for our Turkey organization;
- provide legal support and advice to the organization and its senior management;
- Review and ensure legal compliance with existing regulations, guidelines and standards; provide strategic legal advice concerning new legislative developments
- Ensure legal compliance of organizational structure, and in general, corporate house keeping;
- Collaboration with the larger FMC Legal teams (META/EMEA/Global), and the larger FMC organization;
- organize, lead, and follow up on the use of external counsel/s;
- Be the lead contact for external lawyers and consultants and provide general legal counseling regarding all fields of commercial law
Your profile
- Fully qualified lawyer, incl. above-average university degree
- Experience of professional such as at least 7 or 8 years in a major international law firm and/or in-house legal department of an internationally operating and complex corporation;
- Ideally, experience in medical technology, pharmaceuticals or the broader healthcare sector
- Strong knowledge of the Turkish laws and regulations, and judicial system;
- Ideally, first leadership experience, e.g. in a team or project lead role managing junior lawyers and outside counsels;
- Strong and effective communication and client relationship/management skills with the ability to influence through collaboration;
- Distinct and highly committed team-player;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a deadline-intensive environment while continuing to provide highly responsive service;
- Native Turkish & Fluent English language skills; additional languages, especially German are highly welcome
