What we can offer you! – Your Role:

Position Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for all supply chain activities within the plant, being contact to Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing, Shipping and Subcontracting with strong focus on improving service to the customer, accountable for inventory management without negative impact on working capital.

Process Improvement

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Champions Safety
  • Ensure and drive improvements in supply chain process and technology to deliver first-class results
  • Drive improvements in service (reliability, availability and flexibility) to the customers
  • Implementation of sustainable systems and procedures
  • Control and improve stock levels / obsolete stock levels
  • Budget owner for major cost categories
  • Owner of subcontracting process (selection, approval)
  • Owner of the Delivery stream Strategy at the plant

Organization & Leadership

  • Responsibility for a middle-sized team
  • Organize Logistic department to support local & European wide service requests
  • Coaching and supporting direct reports
  • Inform and guide Logistic personnel through plant strategic deployment
  • Maintain an effective and constructive employee relations climate
  • Build cooperation and teamwork within the department and supporting network outside the plant
  • Ensure effective communication at all levels and across the European supply chain
  • Insure clear definition & communication of objectives and metrics in order to give a clear vision of people requirement

Results Management

  • Key driver in creating Logistic standards
  • Identify project opportunities within the site
  • Identify and remove organizational barriers to continuously improve Logistic processes
  • Lead efforts on applying best practices
  • Use the Value Stream Map to establish the baseline process and measure progress
  • Accountable for sustained results
  • Track Site Logistic metrics

Qualifications

What we expect from you! – Your Expertise:

  • Completed Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain management or equivalent Technical management education
  • Experienced in planning assets in matrix organized companies
  • Proficient utilizing ERP planning modules
  • People management experience, a proven people manager
  • Be a coach and mentor in order to deliver results through people by delegating and enabling
  • Used to improve his own capabilities/skills continuously by demanding feedback regularly
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Team orientated and results driven, dynamic and proactive
  • Able to demonstrate strong planning skills / experience
  • Authority to make changes happens across functions and departments
  • Successful and effective communicator
  • Proven ability to develop influential relationships at multiple levels within the plant and remote multifunctional teams
  • Customer focused
  • High ethical standard / code of conduct
  • Willing to take risks
  • Fluent in English and in German
