Join PMI’s Investment Team as Associate and manage corporate development projects (M&A and corporate venture capital) in our four key focus areas Product Development, Life Sciences, Consumer Engagement, and Industrial Technologies.

Job And Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing Build & expand your network with senior bankers and industry key opinion leaders to source opportunities and to develop a profound understanding of deals and discussions in market related to our key focus areas.
Pre-Deal & Screening Scrutinize investment ideas discussed in the team and provide inputs on your colleagues’ investment hypothesis. Develop an internal network to validate your own investment ideas with our own subject matter experts, and excel in presenting investment proposals towards internal stakeholders & decision makers/Investment Committee.
Due Diligence Lead, inform, scrutinize and coordinate due diligence processes from start to finish.
Negotiation Negotiate terms and oversee documentation of deal terms in close collaboration with our legal team.
Post-Deal Provide inputs on key topics to our own portfolio management team and also to internal partners from other departments. Set joint goals, milestones, and then monitor the overall development of the company. Support development & execution of 100day plan.

Job Requirements
Essential Requirements
Previous exposure to venture capital/private equity/M&A transactions
Previous exposure to engineering or life science organizations and deals
Analytical mindset to quickly understand & estimate upsides/risks of new technologies
Ability to suggest alternative investment structures or partnership models
Ability to simplify, summarize and communicate complex information and data
Ability to gauge strategic fit and develop investment hypotheses based on deep understanding of PMI’s business
Preferred Requirements
Ability to tap into network of investors, financial service firms to further inform origination of opportunities

Qualifications And Education Requirements
Essential Requirements
Financial modelling skills to quantify & project economic scenarios
5 years professional experience, at least 2 of which in an investment firm/private equity/venture capital outfit
Strong academic track record, science or technology degree and/or MBA
Proven project-management skills and/or experience in corporate strategy projects
