Our global team of finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward looking analysis; accuracy; efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Global Finance team, working together with colleagues to provide robust, timely and accurate reporting to the Group.

Based in Dubai, this is a country Finance leadership role whose purpose is to lead delivery of all UAE country Financial Accounting and reporting and help shape, drive and implement an efficient and effective operating model in an evolving regulatory and technological environment. This is an important role in the country Finance team for a Tier 1 HSBC entity with a growth agenda. The role will contribute to Finance transformation, especially Cloud and support evolution of the Financial Accounting and reporting process.

In this role, you will:
Identify, interpret and assess the impact of new IFRS requirements on Group reporting.
Ensure an end-to-end process is in place to deliver Group reporting requirements, that is efficient, effective and controlled.
Liaise with external auditors for accounting matters.
Preparation of UAE’s IFRS Annual financial statements.
Ensure smooth working relationship with the GFC team and act as a liaison person to communicate the Group reporting requirements for UAE.
Provide support for all Group related projects like IBOR, ViR etc.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Bachelor Degree
Solid accounting/banking experience in large international financial institutions.
Experience of working with, matrix structure, offshore teams and Finance FIM
A strong team player who is able to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skill
Good understanding of Bank’s internal processes / Finance systems.
Ability to timely deliver projects and implement IFRS changes
