Senior Social Expert (m/f/x)

Your Tasks

  • Providing professional consultancy to our clients on social aspects, especially in international projects in the energy and infrastructure sector
  • Handling ESIA projects, especially large-scale projects in the energy and infrastructure sector
  • Independently preparing and supervising implementation of RPF, RAP, LARAP, LRP, SEP, gender impact assessment, Ethnic Minority Development Plans, and handling them in interdisciplinary teams
  • Providing technical assistance in preparing proposals for our services and assuming responsibility for the technical and economic results of our projects

Your Profile

  • Degree in sociology, socio-economics or similar
  • Preferably more than ten years of relevant professional experience in social economic surveys, community consultation and related activities for international projects in the energy, infrastructure and industry sectors
  • Experience in developing countries and development bank financed projects
  • Experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Land Acquisition and Resettlement Planning, Stakeholder Engagement, preparing RPF, RAP, LARAP, LRP, SEP, Gender Impact Assessment, Ethnic Minority Development Plans, and in conducting audits
  • Knowledge of the fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO)
  • Knowledge of corporate ESG aspects would be an advantage
  • Team player with experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams
  • Very good command of spoken and written English, while German and any additional foreign languages, especially French, would be an advantage
  • Willingness to undertake business trips and project assignments at our clients’ premises domestically and abroad
