The Market Strategy and Technical Sales (MSTS) organization is tied to key outcomes including Sales Productivity, Technical Productivity and GTM within Splunk. As the MSTS Project Manager (Individual Contributor) you will manage cross-functional work streams within the MSTS organization. You should enjoy working with a diverse team that gets things done and makes a difference. This position will be focused on leading assigned projects including planning, building consensus, assigning activities, monitoring execution and analyzing results. In some caseneed to document simple to complex procedures to scale certain activities
Responsibilities
- You���������ll be accountable to review scope, requirements and target outcomes to help confirm required resources, building consensus to meet stated objectives, deliverables and timings
- You���������ll plan, direct schedules, track and monitor project activities from initiation through delivery and you influence
- You���������ll report on progress status, KPIs and resolution of issues, leading meetings with cross-functional resources and interacting closely with groups and leaders where applicable
- Work independently on most assignments with little oversight from your manager
- Build productive relationships with internal and external MSTS teams and to exercise your best judgment to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time
- Identify and articulate new business needs as these arise
- Support the publishing process for weekly, monthly and queviews
Requirements
- 5-8 years of related program management experience within a fast growing software organization (prior experience in enterprise software and presales is a plus)
- Presales Engineer or Post Sales Engineer (creating demos/POC, implementations of software/cloud)
- Expertise with collaborative google office tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
- Previous experience with GTM/Pre Sales & strategy
- Solid understanding of IT, DevOps, Security and/or Industry related use cases is a PLUS
- Ability to suggest, influence and implement mitigation strategies for risks and issues (you are a driving force)
- Exhibit good project management, communication and presentation skills
- Willing to travel within the USA (up to 20% travel as needed)
- Bachelors degreed preferred
