Responsibilities:

• Responsible for start-up, picking up formulas, and review mixing schedule
• Scale ingredients accurately according to current and up-to-date formulas
• Assist with the loading of ingredients into the mixer
• Ensure batters are finished in a timely manner- preventing downtime between batches
• Ensure all variances to formulas are noted and reported to Leadhand and Supervisor
• Document all ingredients used throughout the shift and document lot numbers of all ingredients used
• Ensure proper documentation, labelling, and cleanliness of ingredient bins
• Ensure scaling and mixing area is neat and clean
• Prescale area to be cleaned thoroughly on a weekly basis
• Work closely with mixer and Leadhand
• Inform Leadhand and Supervisor of any quality issues immediately
• Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual, adheres to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook, and adheres to food safety practices and ensure they are being followed
• All tools to be cleaned and maintained in good repair. Report any broken, damaged, or missing tools to your supervisor. Do not discard any damaged or broken tools.
• Must be available to assist in other positions/departments as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
• Service oriented — high need to please and level headed — does not overreact under stress
• Effective communicator
• Punctual, team player and dependable
• Must have excellent attendance and work habits
• Trained on operation of electric pump truck, GMP and safety awareness
• Basic Computer knowledge
