Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principals- independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been part of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of under-nutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts or natural disasters. RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director for Programmes, you will support the mission in the development of a relevant technical strategy, in scaling up MHPSS and protection programs, and insure quality intervention, respecting sectorial standards and integrating a gender transformative approach.
More precisely, you will :
– Contribute to the strategy and positioning of the MHPSS technical department in Bangladesh
– Support the mission in the development of the MHPSS-P component in Bangladesh
– Support the existing MHPSS-P program (Cox’s Bazaar) and insure respect of international / ACF standards and quality interventions
– Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection, Disability sensitivity

REQUESTED PROFILE

– Advanced degree in Psychology and any other relevant degree with minimum of 4 years professional experience in MHPSS intervention;
Experience requested :
– Ability to provide technical guidelines, design and develop tools and resources;
– Experience in humanitarian and development field;
– Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multicultural setting;
– Fluency in English with excellent communication skills;
– Ability to work independently and deliver effective results;
