Job Description

We are seeking a creative leader who can push our digital creative boundaries and drive our content to new and unexpected places while ensuring it remains relevant and resonates with our community and our ever-evolving consumer targets.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing the purpose of this position is to manage and direct the digital Creative team and our external creative partners, in addition to developing digital creative strategic concepts across multiple channels for Canada Goose that propels us into new creative and design territory while protecting Canada Goose’s brand standards globally.

The Role:

Brand Creative

  • Elevates the CG Brand on design quality with a team of strong design leads, spending dedicated time specifically on the overarching portfolio’s design strategy, priorities and overall clarity of solutions with cross-function product & technology partners.
  • Responsible for content development and management for digital projects, supporting multiple departments and channels across the organization to create elevated digital content.
  • Partner with Art Directors & Social Media Teams to collaborate & support brand campaigns with a digital lens to ensure we are reaching new audiences in exciting, unexpected and Community-first (or digital-first) ways.
  • Be a champion of CG’s brand guidelines, ensuring all internal and external digital executions adhere to the highest level of brand standards

User Experience

  • Spearhead design and delivery of digital experiences and functionalities that drive company-wide objectives and KPIs.
  • Lead with a ‘customer-first approach’ to building products, leveraging research and data paired with empathy to build experiences that create the most optimal customer experience
  • Oversee the digital product calendar and go-to-market plan for all product and category launches, promotions and campaigns, including digital merchandising, digital copywriting and digital asset management.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with the UX, Web Development, and E-commerce teams to ensure brand standards and consumer journey are cohesive across multi-channels
  • Work closely with the UX team to ensure holistic brand consistency through the use and maintenance of the CG design system (Figma)

Leadership & Management

  • Manage and train all members of the digital creative team and collaborate with external creative agencies and contractors, ensuring all projects remain within budget.
  • Keep internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners abreast of progress and adapt to any changes in specifications through the course of project work
  • Manage briefs, group meetings, production meetings, and presentations
  • Inspire and mentor junior teams members to reach their full potential and produce the best work possible by adapting to each individual’s style of communication and motivations

About You:

  • Minimum of 8+ years experience as a Digital Creative Director or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Extensive track record of leading digital-first User Experience & Design function
  • Experience working in an integrated agency with specific experience in the digital creative realm
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or diploma in a related discipline – ie: graphic design
  • Experience in the apparel industry is a bonus
  • Expertise in visual design with a keen eye for detail – specifically as it relates to user interface design, typography, grids, and brand identity

  • Expertise in digital design systems
  • A strong grasp of best practices as it relates to user experience design
  • Mastery of Figma, Sketch, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WCAG and AODA accessibility standards
  • Have a finger on the pulse of global trends in both luxury & fast fashion and have a strong passion for culture across all pillars – art, music, fashion, gaming and tech.
  • Team player who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves for any task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have an online portfolio for viewing
  • Organized self-directed and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner
  • Global awareness of visual trends
