Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Director Biologics is responsible for the end-to-end Supply Chain operations of the intercompany portfolio for the Biologics Business Unit. As such she/he is responsible for the demand planning, replenishment planning, supply planning, inventory, purchasing of raw materials (when applicable), Customer Relationship, Order-to-Cash processes and she/he is also directly and operationally taking care of the New Product Introductions.

She/he works in close collaboration with Business Development, Finance, Quality, Commercial Operations, Procurement and with the different manufacturing sites

The Role:

  • Provide direction and leadership for the supply chain team in Cham to share best practices, institutionalize and continuously improve processes
  • Lead the Customer Service and Planning teams & accountable for the intercompany end-to-end network Planning from customer owned Drug Substance to Finished Goods across Catalent sites.
  • Accountable for the intercompany inventory management and optimization across sites.
  • Accountable for the customer relationship, customer experience, communication to customers and service level excellence
  • Responsible for managing crisis calls with customers in collaboration with Manufacturing Sites and Commercial Operations teams
  • Responsible for the execution and readiness of the monthly Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in close alignment with manufacturing sites, Business Development, Commercial Operations and Finance – including KPI’s analysis, customer forecasting analysis, capacity analysis, OEE analysis, product life cycle management and long-term planning.
  • Operationally manage the NPI’s
    • Design product/ information/ financial flows in collaboration with manufacturing sites, Commercial Operations, Finance, Business Development, Trade Compliance and Site Project Management teams
    • Support on-boarding of new customers
    • Coordinate cross-functional activities to set up intercompany products / customers in ERP and to assign operations
  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor of Science and 7+ years Supply Chain Planning experience preferably in the life-science industry
  • APICS certification & Lean 6 Sigma certification a plus
  • Affinity with numbers, analytical, active listening skills & proactive
  • Result focused & Problem solving & comfortable working under pressure
  • Superior written and verbal communication
