Job Description
Main Purpose
The Assistant Analyst role is an entry-level professional position that supports the Public Policy Center in a wide capacity. Responsibilities will be split between analyst-level deliverables and administrative support, which is expect to be roughly 25-40% (max) of the position. The Assistant Analyst will handle a variety of tasks related to research, information gathering, presentation development, data systems and software (e.g., SAP, CRM), budgeting, and meeting management. The role is designed to provide growth opportunities in the future.
Accountabilities/deliverables of L5 role:
Information gathering and basic research tasks related to a wide range of team projects
Presentation and other collateral creation and management, including managing the team document repository
Spreadsheet management and analytics, such as chart/graph development related to information tracking/update needs
Data processing/entry and database management tasks (e.g., SAP, CRM)
Manage budget spreadsheets/tracking
Assist with special projects in event planning, sustainability intiatives, etc. and help cover for leaves of absence
Administrative support, including invoicing, T&E, meeting scheduling, etc. as well as completing the NA Political Action Committee donation invoicing (typically 2 weeks in November)

Qualifications/Requirements
Highly competent in contemporary Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint and Excel
Experience with completing basic research assignments
Writing/editing skills
Experience with or proven ability to learn SAP and other software systems
Financial management for budgeting and administrative upkeep
Logistics/event planning
Relevant degree (Bachelors or Associates) required; studies in public policy and/or sustainability a plus
At least 1 year of office-based work experience
Experience with public policy and/or sustainability issues a plus
Differentiating Competencies Required
Versatility – ability to juggle mutliple tasks ranging from analytical to administrative
Positive attitude and willingness to do whatever is needed
Curiosity about the public policy and sustainability work and a drive to grow into bigger roles
Analytical capabilities and ability to initiate and drive results without continual supervision
