Hourly wage: $16-$18/hr.

A Behavioral Health Technician is the liaison between client and clinical/medical staff whose priority is to assist in providing a safe and caring environment for individuals in recovery.

BHT’s perform a vital, front-line function in healthcare settings as they observe, treat and interact with patients. you’ll assist in the intake process and transportation needs for clients, interact with clients and help them adjust to the program routine.
You will work under the supervision of the nursing staff and help take vital signs, assist minimally with client care and run clinical groups for clients.
12 Step knowledge is helpful
Our clients often have dual diagnosis-Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Diagnosis
You’ll observe and report to the medical staff any changes in a client’s physical or mental status

We require:
A High School diploma or GED
1yr experience in Mental Health Field (or corresponding college coursework) preferred
Ability and desire to keep patients safe at all times
Professional demeanor, ability to maintain professional boundaries and strong work ethic
If in recovery, 2 years sober

Expectations of the role:
Establish and maintain healthy relationships with the patients.
Admission process: search belongings, log and properly store valuables
Maintain constant and clear communication
Complete timely and accurate shift reports, notes and safety checks each shift.
Facilitate groups or meetings with patients.
De-escalate and assist patients with staying in treatment when they want to leave treatment early..
Know how many patients are on property, where they are and document
Keep all properties and office spaces clean and neat, helping clients learn to care for themselves and the space around themRequirements:
