The Office of Legal Services (OLS) provides comprehensive legal support and services to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) programs and leadership to advance CDPH’s mission to optimize the health and safety of all Californians. OLS is comprised of five legal teams: the Administrative Litigation team; the Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ) team; the Public Health Programs (PHP) team; the Regulations, Privacy and Special Projects team; and the COVID-19 Projects Response (CPR) team.

Job Description And Duties

The Attorney will assist with responses to Public Records Act (PRA) requests and will give advice to CDPH programs on the same. In addition, the incumbent will provide advice to programs and the Directorate, as well as the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), California Health and Human Services (CHHS) Agency, and the Governor’s Office of Legal Affairs (GOLA) regarding current COVID litigation and the Department’s COVID response.

This is 12-month Limited-Term, Full-Time position that may be extended or become Permanent in the future.
