About The Role

As the Manager Procurement, you will be responsible for developing, executing and delivering global buying strategies for a given category across Qatar Airways Group of companies. You will continuously review and strengthen processes and lead a team of procurement professionals to successfully achieve sourcing objectives and goals. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Senior Leadership positions across the Group of companies.

About You

You will possess:

  • 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement and category management in different direct and indirect sourcing categories, such as Catering, IT, Ground Services Equipment, etc with demonstrable experience in the field of expertise.
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or a Related Field.
  • Proven record of driving cost savings
  • Proven record in achieving organisational and process improvements to deliver tangible advantages to the business
  • Proven successes in developing strong relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proven records in Category planning, setting and achieving Category���������s KPIs.

Qualifications
About you

  • Strong procurement professional
  • Ability to work in a very dynamic environment, under pressure, with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to influence, convince, and build effective business relationships across diverse groups of people.
  • Service-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
  • Excellent negotiation planning, management and execution skills
  • Flexible, organized, autonomous
  • Fluent command of English language.
  • Contractual and Financial acumen.
  • Planning, problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and usual Office tools
  • Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Procurement or related experience in airline industry (Preferred).
