Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) is a leading product development partnership (PDP) in the field of antimalarial drug research and development. Its mission is to reduce the burden of malaria in disease-endemic countries by discovering, developing and delivering new, effective and affordable antimalarial drugs.
MMV’s success in research & development and access & product management comes from its extensive partnership network of over 400 pharmaceutical, academic and endemic-country partners in 55 countries. Our portfolio is financed through funding from government agencies, private and corporate foundations, international organizations, corporations and private individuals. Since its founding in 1999, MMV and partners have brought forward 11 new medicines that have saved an estimated 2.7 million lives.
We are currently seeking a full time Legal Assistant to provide support to the Legal department, particulary with contract management activities.
The Legal Assistant will:
Assign contract requests received from all departments within the Legal and BD teams
Maintain and populate MMV’s contracts database with contractual and financial details
Follow-up on contracts that have been sent out for counter signature and update the contract database
Monitor contract expiry dates and follow-up with project directors regarding contract renewal
Maintain a filing system for original documents (patents, meeting minutes, statutory documents)
Assist the team with other administrative tasks, as required
Education and experience:
Business diploma (CFC or equivalent)
Previous experience in an administrative position
Previous experience coordinating and archiving large volumes of documents
Technical skills required:
Excellent command of English (spoken and written) good command of French
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Behavioural skills required:
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work assignments
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and partners with integrity and diplomacy
Start date: 01st September 2022
