About Our Client

Our client, one of the largest insurance groups in the world, with it’s office in Zurich is currently looking for a Group Financial Controller who can start and support the team as soon as possible. This is a temporary position for min. 9 months. In this position you are responsible for the correct, complete, and compliant production of the externally disclosed Consolidated Financial Statements.

Job Description
Responsible for the correct, complete, and compliant production of the externally disclosed Consolidated Financial Statements
Analyse data (balance sheet, income statements, etc.) and ensure accuracy of reporting in accordance with IFRS requirements, group instructions, guidelines and policies
Assist in accounting and reporting matters
Comply with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, prepare backup and supporting documents
Prepare and publish the half-year and end-year financial statements
Review of Investor relations material
Handling of ad-hoc requests
Support in improving the analysis process
Liaise with external auditors
Liaise with various stakeholders for the maintenance of master data information, risk, internal controls, investor relations, etc.
The Successful Applicant
University degree in Finance (Accounting and Controlling) or similar education
General accounting, controlling and reporting knowledge
Good knowledge of IFRS
Willing to take ownership, hardworking, persistent, able to work under pressure, team-oriented personality
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent spoken and written English
Knowledge in BW(SAP) and Power BI desired
Solid use of Microsoft Office especially Excel (Power Pivot/Query knowledge big advantage)
