We have an exciting opportunity for 2 additional Team Leaders at our Samlesbury site to support an ongoing project for our customer BAE Systems. We’re looking for experienced Team Leaders, with strong people management skills and an energy and drive to meet Key Performance Indicators and delight the customer.

These are dayshift roles, typically working Monday to Friday and permanent contracts. The salary is £26,861.01 per annum.

What does the role involve?

• Ensuring a proactive approach to Health & Safety and Compliance, leading by example for the rest of the team
• Motivating and managing a team of Warehouse Operatives to achieve key customer targets and performance objectives
• People management tasks including Return to Work meetings, investigations, appraisals, coordinating overtime, monitoring performance and attendance
• Liaising with customers, attending customer meetings and calls where required, and making sure to provide a responsive and professional service
• Role modelling the Wincanton Way, operating within the Wincanton values of Excellence, Integrity, Passion, Proactivity, Togetherness and Trust

What are we looking for?

• Good attention to detail
• The ability to motivate a team and demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage the team members
• PC literate, including an understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to use customer IT systems in accordance with training provided
• Able to consistently provide a high standard of customer service
• A positive, proactive and “can do” attitude to resolve issues and challenges
