We have an exciting opportunity for a Buying Assistant to join our Music, Video, and Games team, where you will be an integral part of the team with opportunities to develop your trading skills. MVG is a fast paced ever changing business with weekly chart changes, and you will be dealing with major entertainment suppliers such as Warner Brothers, Disney, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and Universal. It is a great industry to be involved in!

The Role

You will support the Buyers and Merchandise Planners, and work closely with Supply, Customer Planning, Central Admin, and the Online team. It’s important that day to day admin is up to date, including line listing, cost and retail changes, funding raised and liaising with suppliers to ensure deadlines are met. You will input into decisions on new releases and promotions, attend quarterly new release meetings, help resolve customer/store queries, and build the weekly charts. You will assist the Buyer with store visits, competitor research, and general day to day trading of the category.
